Lily

I love this child more than I can express into words. This school year has been a crazy hard adjustment for her. She has had THE hardest time with other girls and making friends. It's not something I can help her with, it is something she has to do for herself. She has a friend over today and we are going on 3 hours with no drama. I'm sitting in my room with my fingers crossed... I didn't organize this playdate, I didn't have to. Maybe we're getting there?

  1. She's falls in the "firecracker" category, meaning.. lots of personality and energy. And not worried about rules, regulations or the outcome of the situation. Not so much a nuisance, just so much energy it gets away from them. However there is nothing better than having a hug, or needing momma for comfort, even though being independent is something they think is all they know.

My Gracie Girl created and defined this category of precious babies and children. I'm ever so grateful you have a "firecracker" of your own that is older, and you will be able to pave the way for myself and my "firecracker"..

  2. BLESS HER HEART! I'm with Karli. When you get a pre-teen with carisma, attitude, personality, spunk, and a momma that taught her everything she knows - your doomed :) My Addy is the SAME WAY! Girls can be hard, rough and down right mean to each other. When we have "play dates" I try to have some "activity" for them if I notice things starting to spiral. It can be as easy as salt clay, or stringing beads onto a strand.
She is such a cute girl! Don't give up, be patient, and always let her know that NO MATTER what - YOU and Chris love her, and thats all that matters. Don't let her change who she is for everyone else :) Friends will come and go, but family stays forever!
